eXpCOMMCON Sets the Stage for the Future of Commercial Real Estate at eXpcon Miami

On October 20, eXp Commercial hosted the first-ever eXpCOMMCON at eXpcon Miami — a high-impact, full-day experience crafted exclusively for commercial advisors. From early morning networking to deep-dive strategy sessions and global expansion announcements, one message came through loud and clear: the future of commercial real estate is already here, and it’s borderless, tech-forward, and 100% advisor-first.

Opening With Vision and Velocity

Pam Junge kicked off the event as the emcee, introducing Sean Murphy and Holly Mabery for the State of the Brokerage, where they recapped a year of momentum, highlighting year-over-year revenue growth, rising gross profit, and increased production per advisor. They were joined by Nadia Habib, Managing Director of eXp Realty Canada, who made a landmark announcement: eXp Commercial Canada is officially launching, starting in Ontario.

Next up, keynote speaker Bob Knakal, one of New York City’s most respected commercial figures, took the stage. With over $22 billion in closed deals and 2,300+ properties sold, Knakal shared invaluable insight on territory specialization, mentorship, and building a scalable legacy. One standout takeaway?

“The most frequently asked question you’re going to get if you’re a real estate broker is, ‘How’s the market?’

“99.9% of brokers answer with adjectives. If you’re answering that question with adjectives, you’re not an expert. Think about that. You have to answer with statistics.”

That theme of precision and leadership carried into the next session, as Glenn Sanford, Leo Pareja, and Wendy Forsythe revealed what’s next for eXp Commercial. Glenn shared his enthusiasm about the trajectory:

“You can tell by this room that we now have the infrastructure to be a player, a major player in commercial around the world. And, that’s pretty incredible and pretty awe inspiring for me as well, to just think of what we’ve built and the infrastructure that we put in place together.”

Wendy closed the leadership session by spotlighting a major win—the launch of the new eXp Commercial website. The redesigned platform now offers enhanced advisor search capabilities, a new Insights content hub, and a bold, modern interface that reflects eXp Commercial’s evolving brand and leadership in the market.

Data, Disruption, and Deal Flow

In the following session, Juan Arias, CoStar’s National Director of Market Analytics, delivered a deep data forecast across the Office, Industrial, Retail, and Multifamily sectors—arming advisors with clear, actionable intelligence to stay ahead of trends.

Then, in a compelling talk on PropTech & AI in CRE, eXp’s Chief Innovation Officer Seth Siegler demonstrated how AI-driven prospecting is transforming how top advisors win listings and accelerate deal cycles.

Adding to the excitement, the eXp Commercial UK team joined live to share how eXp’s virtual-first, advisor-centric model is reshaping the commercial real estate market across the UK. These global touchpoints underscored eXp Commercial’s fast-growing international footprint and borderless capabilities.

The general session wrapped by celebrating some of the year’s top producers:

  • David Spencer, 2024 Top Producer by Volume
  • Paul Frank, 2024 Top Producer by Units and 2025 Mentor of the Yea
  • Jeff Clark, 2025 Broker of the Year

Breakouts That Built Business

The afternoon brought high-value breakout sessions on production, attraction, AI and product specialties.

The product specialty session covered trending insights on Office, Industrial, Retail, Multifamily. John LeTourneau led the conversation with Robert Creamer, Paul Frank, and Beth Mickley discussing product specialization and where the current opportunities lie. As Beth summed it up:

“It’s simple. It comes down to three things: knowledge, education and relationships. It’s a grind.”

In the top producers panel, Britney Mroczkowski, Louis Chavez, Pamela Junge, David Spencer, and Seth Prescott pulled back the curtain on their deal-winning strategies. David shared his biggest piece of advice when cold calling:

“I research everybody I’m talking to before I call them, I know what they have, how long they’ve had it. It differs for every client. I know exactly who I’m talking to before I ever make the call.”

Smita Singh hosted a dynamic session on building scalable groups with Karl Markarian, Mallisa Jackson, and Michelle Pauley. Mallisa emphasized leadership and motivation when choosing team members:

“It comes down to finding out what motivates them and showing them the proof. It really comes down to being a good leader and making sure you’re leading them the right way.”

In a session on leveraging AI in client prospecting, Holly Mabery, Henry Eisenstein, and Jerad Graham demonstrated how uploading your database into ChatGPT can turn hours into minutes.

Daniel Eng offered his advice on building crossover teams between eXp Commercial and eXp Realty:

“Connect with more people. Find your partners. Be a connector. If you’re not that kind of person, find someone who is.”

And in a breakout on business brokerage, advisors Jared Thompson, Brad Ruth, Kelli Toal, and Tom Crumpton detailed what it takes to win in this niche. Brad put it plainly:

“Spend your time taking the listings you want to sell. Don’t just take them all.”

These weren’t theoretical ideas. They were real, proven strategies from advisors already seeing results.

eXpCOMMCON was a launchpad for the future of commercial real estate. Global. Virtual. Scalable. Advisor-first. If you’re ready to grow beyond borders and build a business on your terms, it’s time to take a closer look at eXp Commercial.
